Painted Furniture

I am obsessed with painted furniture right now.  Actually, I have been for quite some time.  I love how you can completely change the look of a room by painting one piece of furniture.  I have been doing a lot of research, (aka) Pinterest, to find out about different techniques.  I just ordered some chalk paint, so I will let you know what I think about that.  In the meantime, here are some of my favorite pieces I have come across either on blogs or Pinterest.

As you can see, there are so many good ideas.  I am ready to get started.  I will keep you posted.

Zinnia Bliss

This summer a local farmer planted a field of zinnias.  It was absolutely beautiful.  The best part was that they opened it up to anyone who wanted to cut their own flowers.  Too fun.  I was having a birthday party for my youngest son Dylan, and thought this would be the perfect table centerpiece.  Free and fabulous.  You can't beat that.

Next Summer I am definitely planting Zinnias.

Bragging Rights.

As many of you know,  I worked feverishly on my nephews June 9th wedding and finally the photos are here.  I am not one to boast, but I just can't help it.  The wedding turned out amazing and I just have to share.

The bouquet.  My shining moment.  This bouquet turned out amazing considering it was my first broach bouquet.

The boutonnieres were perfect for this wedding.  Adding duck feathers was the touch needed to let the men feel included in the details.

The centerpieces were very casual.  I wrapped burlap around mason jars and rustic cans and tied them off with turquoise and white torn damask fabric.  The flowers were a mix of yellows, raspberry, and blues.  Once again bringing in antlers just added a little something masculine.

A place for cards and gifts.

Dressing up the porch.  I used a lighter burlap for faux curtains and tied them off with the same burlap and damask fabric I used on the centerpieces.  Easy, inexpensive, but very country chic.

The beautiful bride and groom.  They made this whole experience so fun for me and I learned so much.  Thank you Justin and Meredith.

Special thanks to my good friend Tiffany Sucevich for taking these photos for me.  I could not have showcased all my hard work without your amazing pictures.
